Arrival Information

  • Information for Sarnia Students

Knowing that travelling to a new country can be a difficult process, Lambton College strives to provide a smooth and comfortable package of arrival services for our new international students.

    Sarnia Airport Pickup

Free airport pickup is available at the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport for new international students each term. For registration, please send your travel itinerary at least 72 hours in advance to international@lambtoncollege.ca.

    Toronto Airport Pickup

    Scheduled Bus Pickup Dates
Free airport bus pickup is available at the Toronto Pearson Airport for the September and January terms each year. For scheduled pickup dates and registration, please contact international@lambtoncollege.ca.

    Flexible Van Shuttle Service Dates
If you are unable to register for a scheduled bus pickup date, you may also take a Robert Q Shuttle Van service from the Toronto Airport to Sarnia. For Robert Q departure schedules and costs, please refer to the Robert Q Reservation website. Please keep your receipt of payment and Lambton College will reimburse you by crediting your costs towards your second term fees.

Please Note: The bus ticket office is not called Robert Q. It is a generic desk that sells tickets for many types of bus companies. Please find the Ground Transportation Desk at either Terminal 1 (located on the ground level, one level below the arrivals level, between post R and S) or Terminal 3 (Out of Town Vans or Ground Transportation on arrivals level under the domestic escalator, centre of the terminal.) Once you find this Ground Transportation Desk, then ask for Robert Q.

    Temporary Accommodations

Temporary shared accommodations are provided for new international students at a nearby motel and/or college residence at the start of each term. Each new international student is eligible for up to five free nights of shared accommodations when they first arrive up until the end of the second week of the new term.

Please note: Our free services and accommodation will only be available to students two weeks prior to the beginning of the intake. Students who choose to arrive earlier will be required to make their own arrangements.

    New Student Orientation

A new international student orientations is held each term. Attendance is mandatory as important workshops and courses specifically designed for international students are provided and are integral to a successful start to your academic program and life in the City of Sarnia.

    International Student Health Insurance

Once a new international student is registered at Lambton College, they are automatically covered by GuardMe during academic and co-op terms - a mandatory medical insurance designed for international students.

Please Note: Students on break are not covered by this insurance and are encouraged to purchase it directly from GuardMe or another provider of their choice. For more information about this insurance please visit the GuardMe Website.
