Program Information

The Global Business Management program, uses a student-centered, classroom-based approach, is tech-savvy and designed to prepare university and college graduates for an exciting career in the field of business. The curriculum emphasizes marketing, trade, research, supply chain management, law and project management in an international business setting. Graduates will gain specialized career expertise, technical knowledge and skills in international business, as well as practical experience in an international field study that will enable them to start their career in business.

This program is taught in a hybrid format using the Student-Centered Hybrid Learning Approach.

This Lambton College program is licensed to and delivered by Queen's College (PDF), a licensed private career college in Mississauga, Ontario. Students that are registered at Lambton in Mississauga are students of a public college and as such, will receive full credit from Lambton College for all Lambton College courses completed at the Queen's College campus in Mississauga. Students who meet program graduation requirements will graduate with a credential from Lambton College.

Admission Requirements

A college diploma or university degree

The admissions process is competitive and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.

English Language Requirements

IELTS (International English Language Testing Score) of 6.0 (increasing to 6.5 in January 2018)

Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.

Employment Opportunities

Program graduates can work in a broad range of domestic and international employment sectors including market research, supply chain analysis, sales, marketing, manufacturing, freight forwarding, consulting, retail and brokerage. Graduates are suited for employment in a wide variety of positions, including, international market researchers, procurement analysts, international operations supervisors, supply chain specialists, freight forwarding assistants, international business analysts, business development managers, and international marketing or sales specialists.

Accreditations/Certifications

Upon meeting graduation requirements, graduates will possess the necessary course preparation to apply for the Diploma in International Trade from the Forum for International Trade Trading (FITT). This program enables students to fulfil the educational component for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation from FITT as well as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

See fitt.ca and pmi.org for necessary examination and work experience requirements to complete the designations. Separate registration, eligibility and fees determined by FITT and PMI will apply and the additional registration fees are not included in the Global Business Management program tuition.

Obtaining the CITP designation through FITT is an optional component of this graduate program.
