The Lambton Institute of English is operated by Lambton College, a public, not-for-profit Ontario post-secondary institution that provides high quality academic training in English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). International students are eligible to enter the ESL or EAP program and have a conditional acceptance to an academic program. The ESL and EAP programs are full-time and designed for students who want to complete a college diploma or post-graduate certificate. As a Lambton College student, you will receive outstanding student services such as free airport pickup, free temporary accommodation upon arrival, intensive new student orientation and access to all campus facilities.
This English as a Second Language Board of Governors certificate is designed for international students who need to improve their English language skills for post-secondary study. The program is divided into two categories: English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). The former focuses on establishing a strong foundation in the four skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening in levels elementary and intermediate. The latter focuses on using these four skills for academic purposes.
