Lambton in Toronto Students Attend Startup Job Fair

Lambton College staff and students attended the Startup Job Fair hosted at MaRs Discovery District in downtown Toronto, Ontario on Monday October 24, 2016. MaRS Discovery District in Toronto is one of the world's largest urban innovation hubs. 

The Startup Job Fair event was sponsored by GM, Humber College, Lighthouse Labs, and Benevity. Its a nationwide event and resource to connect the region’s hottest startups with the top talented job seekers. Employers in attendance included GM, KIK, Lucova, Askuity, Palomino, Method, Eventmobi, Hackernest, and Buzz Buzz Home, to name a few. Employers were surveyed and the majority desired an expanded co-op strategy which includes hiring from non-traditional talent sources such as Lambton College.

Lambton College has been servicing Canadian and international students for over 47 years and has expanded to become one of Canada’s largest public-private post-secondary education provider collaborations in Canada. International students can study at three locations in Ontario - Sarnia, Toronto or Mississauga and Lambton College also has international students enrolled in campuses in China.
