Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD/CSG)

Full-time and part-time students with either permanent or temporary disabilities who have disability-related educational costs for services or equipment that are not covered by another agency or service and are required for participation in post-secondary education.

Eligibility Criteria

Students may be considered for this award if they have:

• A permanent or temporary disability
• Disability-related education costs (e.g. note takers, vision/learning aids) that result from the disability that are not covered by another agency
  -AND-
• Applied and are eligible for OSAP for full-time students and have at lease $1 in calculated Ontario need
  -OR-
• Applied and are eligible for OSAP for part-time students and are receiving an Ontario part-time grant
  -OR-
• Applied and are eligible for an institution-funded special bursary

Students may complete the application with a counsellor in the Accessibility Office.

Selection Process

Following an appointment with a counsellor in the Accessibility Office, an assessment will be completed to determine eligibility.
