Indigenous Student Bursary

The Indigenous Student Bursary is an award provided to Indigenous students with financial need who are attending post-secondary programs and/or training programs at either Ontario publicly-assisted Colleges and Universities, or approved Indigenous post-secondary education and training institutions. Indigenous students are encouraged to register with the Indigenous Learning Centre.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Indigenous Student Bursary, a student must self-identify as an Indigenous person (please see application for more details).

In addition to the above criteria, the student must also:

  • Demonstrate financial need as identified by the Lambton College General Budget
  • Be attending Lambton College in the current academic year
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Ontario permanent resident
  • Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus
Second Career students are not eligible for this bursary.

Application Deadline

Selection Process

A representative from the Indigenous Student Centre will assess the applications as received to determine the eligible recipients; then provide applications to the Student Awards Coordinator. The recipients will be notified about the status of their bursary as well as the amount after the deadline.
