Students return to face-to-face learning, increased student life activities for spring and fall
SARNIA, April 7, 2022 – It’s the news students have been waiting for. After two long years of pivoting and pandemic adjustments, Lambton College’s doors will be open wide for in-person Spring and Fall Terms.
Students can expect to be on campus for predominantly face-to-face learning for both the Spring and Fall Terms. To best serve the needs of the student body, the College will continue to offer many student services both in-person and virtually. Administrators say they will also continue to make progress on flexible learning options.
“We’re excited to welcome many of our new and returning students to a campus that has seen significant revitalization,” said Mary Vaughan, Mary Vaughan, Senior Vice President, Academic & Student Success at Lambton College in a letter sent to students earlier today. “For many of you, this will be your first time on campus, and we can’t wait for you to experience our brand new Health & Research Centre and Athletics & Fitness Complex, as well as our significantly renovated Centre of Excellence in Energy and Bio-Industrial Technologies. We hope everyone will enjoy the updated entranceways, our landscaping progress, the new SAC lounge, and so much more.”
Additionally, Vaughan says the student Residence will also return to full capacity.
“As we prepare to see our labs, classrooms and bright, spacious buildings fill with the students who are at the heart of this College, I want to sincerely thank all of our students for the outstanding effort and caring you have all exhibited in getting us to this point. You have persevered through challenging times and you deserve this community’s pride and gratitude,” Vaughan said.
As the College moves forward with the loosening of restrictions for the Spring and Fall Terms, Lambton will remain a mask-friendly environment for those who choose to wear PPE.
