Use Observation and Documentation Skills In Care | PSWMR-0110

This hybrid competency based Micro-credential is designed to introduce learners to information related to the communication process so that the Personal Support Worker (PSWs) may apply in the health care environment. This course is designed for those currently working in the field and includes a workplace lab component. Effective communication is one of the most important skills that a PSW can develop in order to provide safe individualized care to the clients he or she interacts with. In this Micro-credential, the theory of communication skills will be explored. Mosby's Canadian textbook for the Support Worker chapter "Interpersonal Communication will be referenced to throughout this Micro-credential.

Important Information: A component of this course is a mandatory in-person lab on Saturday October 15,2022 and Sunday October 16,2022 from 8 am - 5 pm both days. Further information will be provided in your course shell once the course begins.
