Lambton College celebrates Academic Awards recognizing achievements and excellence
SARNIA, March 28, 2024 – Hard-working and high-achieving Lambton College students are receiving more than $375,000 in scholarships and academic awards this year.
The annual Academic Awards ceremonies, which took place at the Lambton College Event Centre on Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27, recognized more than 160 students across all academic programs who have earned awards for their academic effort, dedication to student groups, and commitment to the community.
Some notable awards presented this year include:
- Shaw Foundation Entrance Award
- Clara Veenendaal, Esthetician program
- Lauren Goldsack, Sports & Recreation Management program
- Patricia M. Carter Nursing Award
- Brenna Wilson, Practical Nursing program
- Molly Campbell, Bachelor of Science - Nursing program
- Marian Shaw Celebration of Excellence Award
- Jessica Plain, Social Service Worker program
This year’s Academic Awards were made possible by The Lambton College Foundation’s scholarship program, which is supported by individual and family donors, and corporate and community partners.
The Lambton College Foundation would like to extend special recognition to the event’s Presenting Sponsor, the Lambton College Alumni Association.
Since its inception in 1994, The Lambton College Foundation has raised millions of dollars to enhance facilities, programs, and services for students, and provide financial assistance through scholarships and bursaries. This fundraising is undertaken to further position Lambton College as a leader in educational programming and student life, attracting students from all over the world and supporting the retention of highly skilled professionals for the local workforce.
